Grow Your Productized Service Without Social Media
Step-by-step guide to scale client acquisition
My friend, Rina is an extreme introvert.
She doesn’t even have a social media account.
When she started her own business, people told her the same thing over and over:
"You need to be on Instagram."
"You have to post daily on LinkedIn."
“When are you getting onto Tik Tok?”
As someone who used LinkedIn to grow, I must admit, I did go through the robotic endless cycle of posting, engaging and test out ways to outsmart the algorithms.
It is tiring as hell.
Rina did not waste time on that against her true self.
She started and grew her productized service to $10K/month being completely “anti-social”.
Her story has proven that you don’t need social media to grow your business.
5 Ways to Grow Your Business Without Social Media
1. Make Your Service Irresistible
I see some people selling things I don’t want and see them make millions.
Yet, there are many things I want to buy and I can’t find them in the market.
Here’s the thing, you can sell anything, so long it’s something you know there are enough people out there who perceive it as exceptional.
Types of productized services:
Design as a service
Video as a service
Content as a service
Consulting as a service
Bookkeeping as a service
Web Development as a service
Marketing as a service
Podcast Editing as a service
Web Maintenance as a service
Amazon Listing Optimization
Translation as a service
C-Suite as a service
Email Marketing as a service
Recruiting as a service
Staffing as a service
Branding as a service
I could go on with this, as you can tell.
I’m building a gigantic list on this, if you are subscribed you will receive it once it’s done.
2. Tap Into Strategic Partnerships
Though I can be an introvert like Rina, I am a big fan of collaboration.
My growth is largely thanks to people I know who enjoy networking and going on social media.
Their network of businesses needs the kind of productization I have.
One contact led me to ongoing new clients, day after day.
It’s the fastest way I’ve grown out of all the methods here.
Ways you can team up:
Cross-promotions
Share or swap lead magnets
Do guest appearances
Discounts for their network
Commission based
Quick tip: Don’t aim for big names. I’ve been working with partners you won’t know if I mentioned here, but they are very well-connected with thousands of loyal audiences.
3. Be Visible Via SEO
SEO includes all search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and even ChatGPT.
Write once, optimize and it’s out there.
It still works.
I once did a blog post on “How to draw a triangle on Adobe Illustrator”, and it ranked on the first page of Google search, it’s unbelievable.
Don’t judge your content.
People still want answers and are still searching.
It’s a long-term marketing strategy and you can scale this.
Here’s what you can do:
Research on what your clients search for
Write a blog of articles
Answer real client questions
Solve their problem first
Optimize your articles second
4. Referral and Reward Program
This is not tied only to your partnership program.
It can be opened to prospects and existing clients.
Here’s how:
Deliver excellent service
Create a structured referral system
Provide email templates to clients
10% discount for each referral
5. Nurture Relationships with Email List
Rina did this well, not because she is a master of sales funnel.
She understands what many couldn’t.
That is to treat her list like a community.
Her social media is in her list.
Every visitor to her website will be given a quiz.
To view the results of the quiz, they have to submit their email address, allowing Rina to build ongoing relationships with them.
This is what she sends:
Behind-the-scenes
Her branding process
Client success stories
Branding tips
Soft pitch of her service
She uses these to position her self as an authority.

I can relate to Rina, whenever I think about posting to social media I get too in my head and hate the experience
